Shah Rukh Khan finds heroes “boring” and loves playing “bad guys”, the Jawan star has revealed in a quick question-and-answer session with online film and series database platform IMDb.

“Just playing the good guy again and again and again and being nice, puppy-eyed, doe-eyed is boring after sometime. Personally, yes, I like playing the bad guy. I love bad guys,” the 57-year-old, who had shot to fame with his portrayal of negative and grey characters back in the 1990s, said in the short interview shared by IMDb on Thursday.

Shah Rukh’s latest release Jawan, which hit theatres worldwide on September 7, has emerged as one of the most successful Indian films of all time by minting over Rs 600 crore globally in just a week.

Talking about his much-talked-about bald look in the film, Shah Rukh said that the look was never part of the script, it was a part of the getup that was part of the script. He also revealed his initial scepticism towards going bald.

“I had reservations because I had shown the promo to some friends and they told me that I looked scary, and girls won't like you. So, I hope girls like me, like bald men. I like bald girls,” the actor said.

Calling Jawan a “good, fun trip”, Shah Rukh said, “There is a genre of filmmaking which exists in the south which is louder, larger, bigger than life. It’s a rollercoaster ride of everything packed into two and a half hours. And yeah, it can be a little mind-blowing or mind-numbing or out-of-body experience for global audience. But it’s a good trip. It’s a good, fun trip.”

The Bollywood star also praised the support of his on-screen gang of girls and termed them “fierce women”. He said, “Overall, I think, more than the fierceness of the girls, I will miss the support of these five girls.”

Asked how he would introduce himself to those who haven’t heard of him, Shah Rukh said, “There is an actor somewhere in India who has tried and is still trying very hard.”

“@iamsrk caught up with IMDb for the very first edition of #IMDbIconsOnly, diving into his latest release #Jawan, reflecting on his remarkable legacy, and much more! 💛 Have you watched #Jawan yet? 🍿🤔 #IMDbIconsOnly is a new series where we talk to your favorite icons from movies & shows with every question featuring a different ‘icon’! 😉,” wrote IMDb on Instagram while sharing the video.

Helmed by Atlee and bankrolled by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan was released in cinemas on September 7. The film also features Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Riddhi Dogra and Deepika Padukone.
