Actor Shah Rukh Khan remembered his 1994 film Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa as the “sweetest, warmest, happiest film" of his career on Sunday, resharing a video of scenes from the coming-of-age romantic comedy on X (formerly Twitter) to mark its 30th anniversary.
“I really believe this film is the sweetest warmest happiest film I have done,” he wrote alongside a video originally shared by Red Chillies Entertainment.
Containing clips from the Kundan Shah directorial, the montage features Shah Rukh as Sunil Bakshi, Suchitra Krishnamurthy as Anna Gonsalves and Naseeruddin Shah as Father Braganza.
In his note, the Jawan actor also emphasized his sense of loss for director Kundan Shah, who had been not only a friend but also a mentor to him during the making of the film. “I see it and miss everyone involved in the film especially my friend and teacher Kundan Shah,” read Shah Rukh’s note.
Kundan passed away on October 7, 2017, at the age of 69.
Shah Rukh went on to express his gratitude for the entire cast and crew of Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. “To the whole cast and crew thank u and love u all,” the actor concluded his post.
Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa revolves around Sunil’s attempts to win the heart of his love interest Anna. However, recognizing the unconditional nature of true love, he facilitates Anna's reunion with her beau, Chris Rodrigues (portrayed by Deepak Tijori). Before the movie ends, Sunil meets a stranger, played by Juhi Chawla, suggesting the beginning of a new story.
Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, released theatrically on February 25, 1994, was a box office success, grossing over Rs 5 crore worldwide.
