Shah Rukh Khan calls co-star Deepika Padukone “Singham 5” in a recently dropped behind-the-scenes video from Chennai Express, a film that released in 2013, much before Deepika landed the role of Lady Singham in the upcoming cop drama Singham Again.

The BTS video was dropped by Deepika on Thursday to mark 11 years of Chennai Express, directed by Singham Again helmer Rohit Shetty.

The montage shows Deepika recreating Ajay Devgn’s signature step from Singham (2011), the first instalment of Rohit’s cop universe. "She is Singham 5," says Shah Rukh in response.

"How many times do you think I’ve had to repeat this dialogue? Sahi jawaab ko milega ‘Ek Bakwaas Dictionary’,” wrote Deepika on Instagram on Thursday, referencing her iconic “bakwass dictionary” dialogue from the film.

The video shows the lead actors laughing their hearts out on set. It also provides a glimpse of how the dance sequences in the film were shot. We also see Deepika hugging Farah Khan, who had choreographed the music video for the song Titli.

In another hilarious clip, Shah Rukh says, "I feel like a macho man." "And I am a macho babe," retorts Deepika, doubling up with laughter.

Produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Shah Rukh’s home banner Red Chillies Entertainment, Chennai Express revolves around Rahul (Shah Rukh) embarking on a journey to Rameshwaram in Chennai Express to perform the last rites of his grandfather. However, his path takes a tumultuous turn as he helps Meenamma (Padukone), the daughter of a gangster, board the same train as a runaway bride.

According to industry data tracking site Sacnilk, the film had breached the Rs 100-crore mark one week after its release on August 8, 2013. It eventually emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.

Work-wise, Shah Rukh will next appear in Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming film King, which is also expected to feature his daughter Suhana. Abhishek Bachchan is likely to play the role of an antagonist in the film.

Deepika, on the other hand, has Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again and Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 in the pipeline.

The actress and her husband Ranveer Singh are also expecting their first child in September.
