Kal Ho Na Ho centres on Aman (Shah Rukh Khan), a terminally ill man who radiates joy and hope to the people around him, especially his neighbour Naina (Preity Zinta), a shy and gloomy woman. Despite knowing he doesn't have much time left, Aman plans a series of events to help Naina find love and warmth within her best friend Rohit (Saif Ali Khan). However, he hides his own feelings for Naina as he plots a happy life for her.
Also starring Jaya Bachchan, Sonali Bendre and Jhanak Shukla, the romantic film was helmed by Nikkhil Advani. Produced by Karan Johar and Yash Johar, Kal Ho Na Ho hit theatres on November 28, 2003.
PVR Cinemas also recently re-released Shah Rukh and Preity’s 2004 film Veer-Zaara. The film, which re-released on November 8 and will run till November 14, was screened alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.
