A video of Shah Rukh Khan trying on shoes with his daughter Suhana Khan at a showroom in New York City has gone viral on social media amidst rumours of a new film starring the father-daughter duo.
According to media reports, the 58-year-old Bollywood star's upcoming film King is also expected to feature Suhana in a key role. Shah Rukh will reportedly play a gangster in the movie, while Suhana will be portraying the role of his protege.
Shortly after the video went viral, Suhana shared pictures from her recent stay in the Big Apple. However, Shah Rukh does not appear in the carousel. “Summer in the city,” wrote Suhana, sharing the pictures on Instagram on Wednesday.
One of the snaps shows her posing for a mirror selfie in a white crop top and a green satin skirt.
The 23-year-old actress sported a floral print dress in another selfie.
Suhana also shared a few close-ups, flaunting her dewy makeup.
Suhana last appeared in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies (2023) alongside Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor and Vedang Raina. The actress also collaborated with her father Shah Rukh in an advertisement for her brother Aryan Khan’s luxury streetwear brand, D’yavol X.
Meanwhile, the organisers of Locarno Film Festival recently announced that Shah Rukh Khan will be honoured with their career achievement award at the 77th edition of the event in Switzerland.
The film festival will be held from August 7 to August 17 in Switzerland’s Locarno.
“To welcome a living legend like Shah Rukh Khan in Locarno is a dream come true. The actor and film producer – a true Indian superstar, a symbol of the vitality of Hindi-language cinema – will receive our career achievement award, the Pardo alla Carriera, at Locarno77,” reads Locarno Film Festival’s post on X.
On the work front, Shah Rukh headlined Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki last year. Both Jawan and Dunki were produced under Shah Rukh’s home banner Red Chillies Entertainment, while Pathaan was bankrolled by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films.
