Asa Butterfield’s Otis and Mimi Keene’s Ruby might give their love a second chance in the fourth and final season of Netflix’s teen drama Sex Education, hints a teaser dropped by the makers on Wednesday alongside the premiere date.

The one-minute-13 second teaser, shows the students of Moordale Secondary School find their place in a completely new setting — Cavendish Sixth Form College — after their high school closed down in the last season.

Otis willingly takes the stage to introduce himself in an awkward speech all about sex. “I spend a lot of my free time thinking about sex. I live and breathe sex all day. Every day. Thinking about sex comes very naturally. Because I learned everything I know about sex from my mom,” he says while the new students stare at him in shock.

His best friend Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) saves him from further embarrassment as he shouts, “For goodness’ sake tell them you are a sex therapist.”

The teaser also gives glimpses of all the characters and their role in the upcoming season. Otis and Ruby shippers can rejoice with joy because the two might take another shot at their relationship as can be seen in a frame of the ex-couple sitting on Ruby’s bed.

Maeve (Emma Mackey), as revealed in the previous season, will be studying abroad in New York under the mentorship of Thomas Molloy (Daniel Levy), a famous author and Maeve’s US course tutor at her Ivy League college.

Despite Maeve and Otis confessing their feelings for each other last season, the long distance relationship between the two might not last long because of Maeve’s plans of studying abroad.

Emma Mackey, who plays Maeve in the series, had previously revealed that her role in the fourth season is limited, hinting that Maeve and Otis’ relationship could be short-lived.

Also starring Gillian Anderson, Aimee Lou Wood and Connor Swindells, the fourth and final season of Sex Education will premiere on Netflix on September 21.
