Sharing an image with Hollywood icon Meryl Streep, singer-actress Selena Gomez has announced the shoot wrap for the third season of the mystery comedy series Only Murders in the Building.

Gomez took to Instagram to share the image along with a heartfelt note on Thursday. “Well we wrapped season 3 of @onlymurdershulu -I’m not sure I have enough words to explain just how beautiful this season has been. It has been deliriously hilarious, challenging and for me, an absolute dream. I’ll post more soon. But I’ll leave it with the woman I adore, look up to and love. 🥰” she wrote.

Earlier, Gomez had announced that the Academy Award-winning actress Meryl Streep would join the Season 3 cast of Only Murders in the Building. She had also shared a video on Instagram with the caption, “I could cry 😭 season 3 is coming”.

In the video, Gomez is seen with co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. She had also introduced Paul Rudd, who was earlier announced as a cast member for Season 3, and then shown a glimpse of Streep.

Created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, Only Murders in the Building follows Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), neighbours at an Upper West Side building called the Arconia. The three unlikely friends bond over their love of true crime podcasts and end up starting their own as mysterious murders happen in the building.

The makers also shared a video on YouTube to commemorate Streep’s inclusion among the cast of season three.

The first two seasons of Only Murders in the Building are currently streaming on Disney+Hotstar in India.
