Popular mystery-comedy series Only Murders in the Building has been renewed for Season 5, singer-actress Selena Gomez and her co-stars from the show confirmed in a video she shared on Wednesday.
“Here we go again… my favorite set family. I’m coming home,” the actress-singer wrote alongside her Instagram post featuring her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.
Along with the announcement video, Selena also shared a series of behind-the-scenes videos and pictures featuring the trio.
The announcement comes shortly after the August 27 premiere of Season 4, which will run till October 29. The fifth instalment of the series will uphold the show's tradition with a 10-episode run.
In the ongoing fourth season, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez’s characters embark on a whirlwind trip to Los Angeles after a movie studio expresses interest in adapting their podcast into a film. At the same time, they work to solve the murder of Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), who was formerly the stunt double for Martin's character.
The fourth season of the comedy mystery series is a star-studded instalment. While Meryl Streep returns as Oliver’s love interest, Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria and Zach Galifianakis have joined the cast. Gilmore Girls stars Melissa MaCarthy, Molly Shannon, Kumail Nanjiani and Richard Kind will also feature in the series.
Only Murders in the Building Season 4 premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on Tuesday. New episodes of the show are slated to drop weekly.
