The trailer for Savi, featuring Divya Khossla and Anil Kapoor, was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. Directed by Abhinay Deo, known for his work on Blackmail (2018) and Delhi Belly (2011), the film also stars Harshvardhan Rane in a significant role.
“In the face of danger, COURAGE is her only weapon. For her family, Savi can wage a war with the whole world! #SaviTrailer out now,” the official handle of music label T-Series wrote on X with the trailer.
In the one-minute-52-second trailer, Divya plays Savi, a homemaker who is forced into action when her husband (played by Harshvardhan) gets wrongfully imprisoned for murder. Anil Kapoor’s character aids her in a daring plan to break into the prison and save her husband from life-threatening dangers.
Produced by Mukesh Bhatt, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Savi is set to hit theatres on May 31. Vishal Mishra, Javed-Mohsin, Piyush Shankar and Arkadeep Karmakar have composed the music for the film. The soundtrack includes the last song recorded by the late KK, who passed away last year.
Divya Khossla was last seen in 2023’s coming-of-age romantic drama Yaariyan 2, helmed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, while Anil Kapoor’s latest screen outing was Siddharth Anand’s Fighter. Harshvardhan Rane appeared in Bejoy Nambiar’s Dange earlier this year.
