Sameer Vidwans-helmed SatyaPrem Ki Katha has joined the Rs 100-crore club worldwide, the film’s male lead Kartik Aaryan said on Tuesday.

"Thank you for 100 cr ka Love," he wrote on Instagram alongside a poster of the film. The actor also added white heart and folded hands emojis in the caption.

Also starring Kiara Advani as Kartik’s love interest, SatyaPrem Ki Katha has emerged as the eighth Hindi film released in 2023 to cross the Rs 100-crore milestone globally. Other films to achieve this feat are Pathaan, Adipurush (Hindi version), The Kerala Story, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and Bholaa.

SatyaPrem Ki Katha, which released in theatres on June 29, had an average opening at the box office, minting Rs 9.25 crore nett on Day 1. The film picked up momentum due to positive word of mouth and raked in Rs 53.21 crore nett in the extended first week. It added another Rs 16.95 crore nett in the second week, taking its total collection in 13 days to Rs 70.16 crore nett in India alone.

Alongside Kartik and Kiara, SatyaPrem Ki Katha also features Supriya Pathak, Gajraj Rao and Shikha Talsania in significant roles. The film is expected to face stiff competition from Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, releasing on July 12 in India.
