Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has penned a heartfelt note on friendship for her Kushi co-star Vijay Deverakonda, thanking him for always standing by her side through thick and thin.

“Sees you at your best, sees you at your worst. Sees you come last, sees you come first. Sees your lows, sees your highs. Some friends gently standby 🤍 What a year it has been,” Samantha wrote on Instagram, sharing a picture of her and Deverakonda enjoying a scrumptious lunch at a restaurant in Turkey.

The picture, clicked by Kushi director Shiva Nirvana, and Samantha’s note have garnered over 22 lakh likes on Instagram in less than 24 hours.

Vijay later re-shared the post on his Instagram story and wrote, “favourite girl.”

The Kushi stars are currently shooting for the upcoming romantic drama in Turkey. The film went on floors after the release of Samantha’s last film Shaakuntalam.

It is being shot across several locations, including Kashmir. The leads had teamed up for Kushi in 2019 but Samantha’s struggles against auto-immune disease Myositis and other commitments led to the project getting delayed.

Samantha and Vijay had previously worked together in the Telugu biographical drama Mahanati (2018).

The Telugu-language film — also starring Jayaram, Vennela Kishore, Rohini, Sachin Kedakar, and Murali Sharma — is slated for a September 1 release this year.
