Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu unveiled Telugu song Telusa Telusa from Lakshmi Manchu’s upcoming film Agni Nakshatram on International Women’s Day, calling it a “meaningful” and “inspiring” number that every woman must listen to.

“The Song Of The Season Is Out NOW. I’m glad to present such a meaningful song, Telusa Telusa. A thundering applause to @lakshmimanchu and the entire team for such a powerful and inspiring song,” Samantha wrote on her Instagram story.

The teaser of Telusa Telusa was unveiled last year by Rakul Preet Singh on Lakshmi’s birthday on October 8.

The track also features Lakshmi’s nine-year-old daughter, Vidya Nirvana Manchu Anand. “My daughter features in the song, she has done a few cameos here and there with my brother (Manchu) Manoj but this is her first with me. She is not shy in front of the camera. What is more empowering than making a song on women’s empowerment and having your girl with you. When she grows up and sees this, she would know that I meant this,” the 45-year-old actress said.

The Achu Rajamani-composed track is written by Kasarla Shyam and sung by Sunitha Sarathy, Sireesha Bhagavatula and Aditi Bhavaraju. Lakshmi also has an English rap in the middle of the song which adds layers to the already catchy dance number.

The 3-minute-17-second track is choreographed by Brinda Gopal. “I could not have imagined doing this song so powerful without Brinda master. The beauty of this song is that we only speak of women empowerment and not a single word to put men down,” Lakshmi said.

Congratulating Lakshmi on the song release, Samantha said, “Telusa Telusa will stay with us for days together, it is very inspiring. The visuals are also fabulous and distinct. I’m glad to present this meaningful song and hope that we are able to reach out to as many women as possible. A thundering applause to the entire team for giving us such a memorable number.”

Vamsee Krishna Malla’s directorial Agni Nakshatram is set for a theatrical release in April this year. The film stars Manchu Mohan Babu, Samuthirakani and Chitra Shukla alongside Lakshmi.
