Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, whose maiden solo film Yashoda released in theatres on Friday, has thanked her fans for the love and support the film has received at the box office and on social media.

Samantha, who plays a surrogate mother in the action-packed thriller, took to Instagram on Saturday to express gratitude.

Yashoda has been receiving rave reviews from critics and fans alike. Social media has been abuzz with fans praising Samantha for her acting and action moves in the film, which released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.

Samantha had to undergo rigorous training for the action sequences in Yashoda. For Yashoda, The 35-year-old trained with action director Yannick Ben, who also worked with the actress on Amazon Prime Video’s spy thriller The Family Man 2.

Samantha will be next seen in Shakuntalam and Kushi. She is also set to make her Hollywood debut with Citadel.
