Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who has been on a break from acting following her diagnosis with autoimmune disease myositis, is set to return to work in 2024 with focus on health and career, the Yashoda star said in a new year note shared on her Instagram broadcast channel on Wednesday.
“My New Year’s eve was low key, calm and relaxed… much like I want the year to be. This year the focus is going to be on health, getting back to work, surrounding myself by people who inspire me, and making sure that everything I do is focused on growth and growth alone,” the 36-year-old wrote, sharing a picture of herself in the cream colour, backless Jacquemus dress that she wore to usher in the new year.
The outfit Samantha wore in the picture was made popular by supermodel Gigi Hadid at the 2020 Jacquemus Paris Fashion Week show and was also flaunted by Priyanka Chopra in 2021.
In 2023, Samantha starred in two films, Shaakuntalam and Kushi, both of which did not do well at the box office. In several interviews the actress revealed that she had been diagnosed with a rare muscular disorder, myositis.
The actress did not sign any new projects since July 2023 as she focused on the treatment for her disorder.
