Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan sizzled in black at the trailer launch event of the upcoming Prime Video spy thriller series Citadel: Honey Bunny on Tuesday. Here's a look.
The trailer, dropped by Prime Video earlier this week, revealed how Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s agent Honey was recruited into the global spy agency Citadel by Varun Dhawan’s Bunny.
At the event, Samantha looked gorgeous in a black blazer paired with a mesh skirt. A belt and minimal accessories complemented her look, while black strappy stilettos rounded it off.
Varun looked dapper in a crisp black suit paired with a white undershirt. The actor also has Atlee’s Baby John in the pipeline.
Samantha and Varun posed with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., the creators of the upcoming show, which is the Indian instalment of the globally acclaimed action-thriller franchise Citadel, fronted by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden.
The trailer also hinted at a prequel connection with the original show. The video shows Samantha revealing to her daughter Nadia (Kashvi Majmundar) that she is a spy. Interestingly, Nadia is the name held by Priyanka’s character in the original series.
Slated to hit Prime Video on November 7, Citadel: Honey Bunny also stars Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar and Shivankit Parihar in key roles.
The series is backed by Amazon MGM Studios and the Russo Brothers' AGBO, which also produced the original series.
