The latest episode of actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s health podcast Take 20 came with a disclaimer after she faced flak for advocating hydrogen peroxide nebulisation on social media earlier this month.

In Episode 8, dropped on Monday, Samantha discusses dietary supplements with Dr. David Jockers, a natural medicine expert and author. The episode came with a disclaimer stating that the content is purely for “informational purposes”.

“The information, including but not limited to, audio, text, graphics, images and other material contained in this episode are for informational purposes only. No material in this episode is intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment,” the disclaimer said.

“Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or treatment and before undertaking a new health care regimen, and never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have heard in this podcast,” it further read

Reacting to Samantha's social media post earlier this month, some doctors claimed that hydrogen peroxide nebulisation may cause further damage to a patient's health.

Earlier this month, Samantha had also issued a clarification stating that she chose alternate medicine over conventional treatment because the latter was expensive and not making her better.

“I am not naive enough to go about strongly advocating a treatment. I merely suggested with good intention because of all that I have faced and learnt in the last couple of years. Especially that treatments can be financially draining and many may not be able to afford them. End of the day, we all depend on educated doctors to guide us,” she had written in her defence.

Samantha was diagnosed with autoimmune condition myositis in 2022 and took a break from acting.

On the work front, Samantha last appeared in the 2023 film Kushi. She will next be seen in the web series Citadel: Honey Bunny alongside Varun Dhawan.
