Salman Khan has taken a dig at his ex-girlfriends in his recent appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, a video clip of which — shared by Sony TV — has gone viral. The episode will air tonight at 9.30pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
“It all starts with calling ‘Jaan’ and then they take away all the peace in your life,” the 57-year-old says in response to host Kapil Sharma’s question on whether the actor has given anyone the right to call him ‘Jaan’.
“They start with ‘I am so happy to be with you. I am so lucky’. Then it’s the ‘I love you’ stage. The moment you take the bait, your life will be destroyed. ‘Jaan’ is an incomplete word. The actual sentence would be ‘Jaan le lungi teri’ (I will take your life). After that I will make someone else the ‘jaan’ of my life and then ruin their life as well,” Salman says, at which the host and other guests burst into laughter.
The clip is from the Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan promotional episode, which also has other stars from the upcoming film — Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal and Siddharth Nigam — joining Salman on Kapil’s couch.
In another promo video, Salman and Pooja are seen making a grand entry on the show as the song Yentamma from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Jaan plays in the background. The duo also perform the hook step of the song, which draws a thunderous applause from the audience.
Kapil jokingly comments that people turned up in huge numbers for this episode only to watch Salman. He also pulls the actor’s leg by saying it is good to see him with his co-star Pooja for a change, as he must be tired of only seeing the face of his bodyguard Shera.
During a chat session with the cast of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Kapil asks who among them used to go to the gym with Salman, and Raghav replies, “The only exercise that I did there was for my right arm biceps”, making hand gestures to indicate his drinking sessions with the Ek Tha Tiger actor.
The promo also shows performers on the show impersonating Shah Rukh Khan and Salman’s characters from Pathaan. Kapil and Salman are seen singing Main Jatt Yamla Pagla Deewana together in one of the clips.
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will hit the theatres on April 21.
