Actor Salman Khan is recovering from broken ribs, he told reporters outside his vanity van during an event for the upcoming season of reality show Bigg Boss.
A video shared by a fan account shows Salman confirming the injury to reporters.
“Aaram se. Do pasliya tuti hui hain (Carefully. Two of my ribs are broken),” Salman says in the video.
Salman reportedly suffered the injury on the set of A.R. Murugadoss’ upcoming film Sikandar, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Trisha Krishnan and Sonakshi Sinha in key roles. First announced in April this year, the film is set to release on Eid 2025. Sikandar is bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala, who directed Salman’s 2014 movie Kick.
Salman is currently gearing up for the 18th season of Bigg Boss, which he has hosted for over a decade. The show is expected to premiere in a few weeks.
The 58-year-old actor was last seen in the Prime Video documentary series Angry Young Men, which focuses on his father Salim Khan’s partnership with screenwriter-lyricist Javed Akhtar.
Salman’s last film appearance was in the 2023 action thriller Tiger 3 opposite Katrina Kaif. He recently collaborated with his nephew Ayaan Agnihotri on the single You Are Mine.
