Bollywood star Salman Khan on Wednesday dropped a picture with makers Sajid Nadiadwala and A.R. Murugadoss from the sets of his upcoming film Sikandar, slated to release during Eid next year.
“Looking forward to #Eid2025 with team #Sikandar. #SajidNadiadwala’s #Sikandar, Directed by @ARMurugadoss,” the 58-year-old actor wrote alongside the picture on X.
In the picture, Salman sports a light blue t-shirt and sunglasses and looks at a laptop screen with Sajid and Murugadoss. The photo was probably taken after the shooting for the film began.
Fans flooded the comments section with their excitement for the upcoming film. “Salman khan is back,” one of them wrote. “We love You Legend,” another fan commented.
Sikandar is directed by Murugadoss and produced by Sajid. Recently, Rashmika Mandanna announced that she will star opposite Salman in the film. “You guys have been asking me for the next update for a long time, and here it is. Surprise! I am truly grateful and honored to be a part of #Sikandar,” she wrote on X.
Earlier this year, Salman had announced that he has teamed up with Murugadoss and Nadiadwala for Sikandar, fuelling speculations that the new movie would be a sequel to Kick.
“Glad to join forces with the exceptionally talented, @ARMurugadoss and my friend, #SajidNadiadwala for a very exciting film,” the Tiger 3 actor had written on X on March 12. “This collaboration is special, and I look forward to this journey with your love and blessings,” he had added.
Salman has collaborated with Nadiadwala on several films in the past, including Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Judwaa (1997) and Kick (2014). They, however, have not worked together on any films after Kick.
Salman was last seen in Tiger 3 alongside Katrina Kaif. Last year, he had also appeared in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan in a cameo role and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan featuring Pooja Hegde.
Also starring Trisha Krishnan and Sonakshi Sinha, Sikandar is slated to release in theatres on Eid 2025.
