Actor Salman Khan channelled his inner Groot in a promotional video of the upcoming MCU film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 dropped by Marvel India on Tuesday.
The video, shared on Instagram, shows Groot fanboy Salman watching a video of the popular MCU character on his phone ahead of a press conference. Influenced by Groot, who answers most of the questions with “I am Groot” in the film series, Salman choses to reply to all the questions at the press conference with “I am Salman”.
At the end of the video, the 57-year-old gets annoyed by a question about his marriage plans and starts jiving to songs on Peter Quill a.k.a Star-Lord’s Walkman. He takes off his jacket to reveal Groot’s image printed on the back of his t-shirt and shows his five fingers, signifying the release date of the upcoming superhero film.
Directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the third and final movie in the Guardians of the Galaxy series. The film is the 32nd entry to the MCU and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper and Sylvester Stallone among others. The film is set to hit the theatres on May 5.
Salman’s action entertainer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which released on April 21, is also running in theatres. Helmed by Farhad Samji, the film also features Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Shahnaz Gill, Bhumika Chawla, Palak Tiwari and Raghav Juyal. The film has already grossed over Rs 160 crore at the worldwide box office.
