Prabhas-starrer Salaar: Part One- Ceasefire maintained its lead over Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki at the domestic box office on Friday, collecting Rs 10 crore against the latter’s Rs 7.25 crore, as per trade reports out on Saturday.
With Friday’s earnings, the Prashanth Neel-helmed actioner’s domestic collection stands at Rs 318 crore nett in eight days since its theatrical release. Globally, Salaar already raked in Rs 521 crore gross by the end of its Day 7 in theatres.
Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, released in theaters on December 22, witnessed an impressive opening day with a collection of Rs 90.70 crore nett, sustaining its momentum over the weekend with a collection of Rs 118 crore nett on Saturday and Sunday, cumulatively. It went on to add another 100.2 crore nett during the weekdays, taking its total Week 1 collections to an impressive Rs 308 crore.
In stark contrast, Dunki, Shah Rukh's third Bollywood release of the year has so far earned Rs 167.47 crore nett in the domestic market. With an additional Rs 125 crore gross from overseas markets, the worldwide gross collection of the film now stands at Rs 317 crore.
Dunki's journey at the box office kicked off with a decent opening day collection of Rs 29.2 crore nett. However, it experienced a decline in earnings on Friday, settling at Rs 20.12 crore nett, only to bounce back with a peak collection of Rs 56.31 crore nett over the weekend. Subsequently, the weekdays witnessed a further downturn, accumulating Rs 55 crore nett from Monday to Thursday, taking the total extended first week collection of the film tol Rs 161.01 crore nett in India.
