Prabhas’ gun-wielding Salaar goes head to head with his childhood best friend-turned-arch enemy Varadha Raja Mannar (Prithviraj Sukumaran) in the action-packed trailer of Salaar: Ceasefire Part 1, dropped by Hombale Films on Monday.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, known for blockbusters like KGF: Chapter 2 and KGF: Chapter 1, Salaar is set in the crime-hit fiction town of Khansaar.

The two-minute-53-second-long trailer takes the audience deep into the heart of Khansaar, a city ruled by ruthless crime lords. At the centre of the chaos is Mannar who engages in ferocious battles to claim lordship over the city. Mannar becomes the focal point of the gripping tale. He is aided by Salaar in the quest for power. The trailer showcases the duo combating enemies until fate pits the two friends against each other.

The dystopian atmosphere of Khansaar is vividly brought to life through stunning visuals with engaging action set pieces and gory violence. Adding to the allure are Jagapathi Babu essays the role of Mannar’s father and Shruti Haasan plays Aadya.
