Saiyami Kher will be participating in the gruelling Ironman Triathlon in Germany on September 15, the actress recently announced in a post on Instagram.
The post comes along with a video that shows a training montage of the actress swimming, cycling and spending time in the gym.
Saiyami began her post talking about how she started to cope with the situation after the pandemic-induced lockdowns. “The world moved on very quickly, so did I. Shooting non stop, enjoying everyday on set. The world of films is a rollercoaster of highs and lows, mirroring the complexities of life. I experienced exhilarating highs with the opportunities and love I got with Ghoomer, Faadu, and 8 AM Metro,” she wrote.
The actress also shared that a bike accident last year prevented her from exercising for eight months.
“Preparing for the Ironman is one of the biggest challenges I’ve taken on. It has always been on my bucket list and I decided to finally take the plunge,” she said.
Saiyami said she has become a better version of herself after undergoing two months of training for the triathlon event, even though it was not easy to balance 12-14 hours of training every week with her shooting schedule.
The Ironman Triathlon will be taking place in Erkner, a town close to Berlin, and the particpants will compete in events including swimming, cycling and running. Aside from the Ghoomer actress, the only Bollywood celebrity to have participated in the Ironman Triathlon is Milind Soman.
On the work front, Saiyami will be starring alongside Pratik Gandhi and Divyenndu Sharma in Agni. The Rahul Dholakia directorial, backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, is based on the lives of firefighters.
