Actress Saiyami Kher left cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar in awe of her unique bowling action from the film Ghoomer during a recent rendezvous, shows a video shared by the actress on Tuesday.

In the R Balki-helmed film, Saiyami plays aspiring cricketer Anina, whose dreams are shattered after she loses an arm in an accident. Anina then goes on to become a para-cricketer and win laurels for the country.

In the video shared by Saiyami on Instagram, we see Tendulkar asking Saiyami to show her bowling action to him. The cricketer hands over a canvas ball to the actress and she impresses him with her unconventional left-arm spin with the right arm tucked behind her back.

“I’ve heard she had to keep her right arm tied behind her back for about a year to perfect this bowling action. It causes a lot of pain,” says Sachin at the end of the video.

“What’s the one dream you had as a child that you never thought could never come true? Mine was that someday, I would get to meet @sachintendulkar my hero, my inspiration, my teacher. I have loved and learnt this game watching him play. I’ve bunked college to watch him play. I’ve had the loudest “Sachinnn Sachhhin” chant in the North Stand. So, I can’t seem to explain what this means to me,” Saiyami wrote alongside the video.

“When I began acting, my friends ragged me and said, ‘Ja ja, acting kar. Someday Sachin will watch your film.’ And that became my goal. To work hard and hope that someday the Master will watch my work. And then, it happened, the God of Cricket saw a film in which I play a cricketer. The God of Cricket asked me to show him how I bowled the Ghoomer. Dreams really do come true. This. This part of my life is called happiness,” the 31-year-old further wrote.

Ghoomer, which hit theatres on August 18, also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Angad Bedi and Amitabh Bachchan.

Tendulkar, who holds the record for highest total runs in international cricket, also praised the film on social media.

”Really enjoyed watching #Ghoomer by #RBalki. It was truly inspirational and should be watched by all youngsters. @juniorbachchan was fantastic as the Coach, @SaiyamiKher looked very authentic, her love for Cricket and her ability to understand the character was amazing. @Imangadbedi was perfect as her constant support and @AzmiShabana ji’s one-liners made my day. Simply loved the film,” the 50-year-old former cricketer wrote on X (previously Twitter).
