Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara has completed her master’s degree with distinction from University College London’s Department of Medicine in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition, the former cricketer shared on Friday with a heartfelt note for the new graduate.
“It was a beautiful day. The day our daughter completed her Masters with Distinction, from UCL’s Dept of Medicine, in Clinical & Public Health Nutrition,” wrote Sachin on social media, sharing a video of Sara receiving her certificate on stage during the convocation ceremony.
The 51-year-old cricket icon also praised Sara’s hard work and dedication in his note that he shared alongside pictures of Sara with himself and his wife Anjali. “As parents, we feel so proud to have seen all the work you have put in through the years to get here. It’s not easy. Here’s to all your dreams for the future. We know you’ll make them come true,” he wrote.
“Dher ‘Sara’ Pyaar,” the cricket icon signed off.
Sara also posted pictures of herself and her mother from her convocation day. “Just got 1 degree hotter,” the 26-year-old wrote in the caption.
Sachin was recently seen voting in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in Mumbai. Recognised as the 'national icon' by the Election Commission (EC) for promoting voter awareness, he could not attend Sara’s ceremony in London due to the voting schedule in Mumbai.
