Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli has heaped praise on Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release Jawan, drawing a heartfelt response from the Bollywood star who is making waves at the Indian box office with the Atlee-helmed action-entertainer.
Best known for his epic blockbusters like Baahubali and RRR, Rajamouli couldn’t contain his excitement as he watched Jawan set new records. Taking to his official handle on X, Rajamouli hailed Shah Rukh as the “Baadshah of the box office” and celebrated the film's “earth-shattering opening”.
“This is the reason why @IamSRK is the Baadshah of the box office. What an earth-shattering opening,” Rajamouli wrote on the microblogging site, extending his congratulations to director Atlee for “continuing the success streak in the north too”.
“Congratulations @Atlee_dir for continuing the success streak in the north too, and congrats to the team of #Jawan for the stupendous success…:),” the director wrote.
In response, Shah Rukh penned a heartfelt note thanking the iconic director for his words of appreciation. “Thank u so much sir. We are all learning from your creative inputs for cinema. Please see it as and when u can. Then call me to tell me if I can be a mass hero also. Ha ha. Love and regards sir,” he wrote.
Directed by Atlee, Jawan features Shah Rukh Khan in a power-packed double role. Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi also feature in the actioner in significant roles.
