RRR maker S.S. Rajamouli is set to present a biopic on the “Father of Indian Cinema” which promises to chronicle the birth and rise of Indian films, he announced on Tuesday, sharing a teaser of the upcoming project.
Titled Made In India, the film will be directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Rajamouli's son S.S. Karthikeya in collaboration with Varun Gupta. The cast of Made In India is yet to be announced.
Sharing the announcement teaser on X, Rajamouli wrote, "When I first heard the narration, it moved me emotionally like nothing else. Making a biopic is tough in itself, but conceiving one about the Father of Indian Cinema is even more challenging. Our boys are ready and up for it...:) With immense pride, Presenting MADE IN INDIA…"
The 46-second-long teaser says, "Indian cinema has witnessed many biopics. This is the biopic of Indian cinema. SS Rajamouli presents to you, Made in India."
Director Nitin Kakkar has previously helmed films such as Filmistaan (2012), Mitron (2018), Notebook (2019), Jawaani Jaaneman (2020), and Ram Singh Charlie (2020).
Excited about his role as a producer, Karthikeya took to social media to share his enthusiasm, saying, "It's been years since I wanted to fulfill my dream of becoming a producer. The moment has come.
