After receiving rave reviews for her performances in Boomerang and Tekka, Rukmini Maitra is all set to star in the film Haati Haati Paa Paa, which is a timeless tale of love. However, the love it speaks of is not the typical romance between two people of the same age. Instead, it delves into the deeper, often overlooked love that exists in all relationships — love that is rooted in mutual respect, a sense of responsibility, and a spiritual connection that transcends romantic attraction. These relationships are often the most important in our lives, yet they are also the most neglected.

Much like a tree whose roots receive nourishment, silently blooming with flowers and fruit, the relationships that sustain us in life are often left unspoken, and taken for granted. These are the relationships that become so embedded in our daily existence that we rarely pause to acknowledge the love that lies within them. As life moves forward, these bonds may seem like shadows — always present, yet seldom noticed.

In this story, the dust of time is gently brushed away, revealing the quiet power of these everyday relationships. In this simplicity, love is like the perfect pinch of salt in a dish: neither too much, nor too little, but just enough to bring balance and harmony. The characters repeatedly face the challenge of maintaining this delicate balance, questioning whether they can measure out the right amounts of care, love and respect to nourish the relationships that truly matter.

“When I heard the story of Haati Haati Paa Paa, I don’t know why, but it deeply touched me. After long discussions about the screenplay and dialogues, and after going through all the details, I truly feel happy that we are going to present this kind of film to the audience. Also, it was a pleasure talking to Arnab, such a sensitive person. Since our story is about relationships, I believe he will make a wonderful film. I also liked his previous films. I hope this will be a good movie that will definitely touch your heart,” said Rukmini.

Produced by Celluloid Films and Manvata Consultants Private Limited, Haati Haati Paa Paa will be directed by Arnab Middya.

“We have been working on the story and screenplay of Haati Haati Paa Paa for a long time. The story has been written with Rukmini in mind. Like any relationship, which encompasses joy, sorrow, affection and love, this story is a sensitive blend of all those emotions. Priyanka Poddar, the screenwriter, has captured that sensitivity perfectly in the script and dialogues. When I shared the story with Rukmini, I could see the emotions on her face. Rukmini’s instant agreement to be a part of the project, followed by days of fine-tuning the screenplay and dialogues together, has given us confidence that the story will truly connect with the audience.

And just like she has done in her previous roles, where she has constantly reinvented herself for the character’s needs, this film will see her push boundaries once again. But that’s not all — this film has many surprises in store, which will unfold gradually,” said Arnab.
