The one-minute-50-second-long clip gives a sneak peek into exclusive, behind-the-scenes moments from the making of the film, which starred Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt and Shriya Saran. The film’s song Naatu Naatu won the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards, making it the first song from an Indian film to ever bag the trophy.

Rajamouli said that he never “feared” making RRR. In the video, which has received positive responses from fans, Ram Charan said that he never imagined starring in a film with his best friend Jr NTR. About the two co-stars, Rajamouli mentioned that he was really excited to fulfil the “long-held dream of bringing the two heroes together”.

The trailer features BTS moments of hit scenes from the film as well as choreography sessions of the dance sequence for Naatu Naatu. It also shows moments from its win at the Oscars. “I had shot not with one tiger but two tigers,” Rajamouli said in the video, which also features Ajay and Alia.

“RRR will remain with me for the rest of my life,” Jr NTR said about the film, while Ram Charan remarked, “It’s the most special moment in my entire career.”

“The journey unfolds, from Indian origins to global horizons,” reads a line displayed at the end of the video.

Rajamouli recently featured in the biographical documentary Modern Masters: S.S. Rajamouli, which premiered on Netflix on August 2. The documentary is a part of Netflix’s Modern Masters documentary series on Indian creatives. With interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, the show highlights the filmmaker's influence on cinema.

Released on March 24, 2022, RRR also stars Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody and Olivia Morris. The film is produced by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainment. RRR is currently available for streaming on Netflix, ZEE5 and Disney+ Hotstar.
