Blackpink member Rosé locks lips with American model-actor Evan Mock in the music video of her song Toxic Till The End, which explores the thrill of falling in love and the pain of heartbreak.
The three-minute-53-second video, part of her new album Rosie, begins with a scene where Mock asks for a lift from Rosé in her car, leading the two to start dating. Next, the video showcases sweet and gushy romantic moments shared by the two in a mansion and in the woods, which abruptly ends when the singer finds out that her boyfriend cheated on her with someone else.
Evan Mock starred in HBO series Gossip Girl (2021).
“Call us what we are, toxic from the start. Can't pretend that I was in the dark. When you met my friends, didn't even try with them, I should've known right then,” the singer croons in the music video.
The Blinks (fans of Blackpinks) were taken by surprise when Rosé shared a kiss in the music video with Evan Mock, creating a buzz on social media. One fan commented on YouTube, “The way they casually kissed and the whole vibe of MV is pure gold.” Another also wrote, “THE KISS?!?! HELLAUR?!?!!!!!!! MISS ROSEANNE!!!!!!!! THE SONG, MV, PRODUCTION, AND EVERYTHING DESERVED A CHEF’s KISS!!! WELL DONE!”
Rosé’s last two releases were her singles APT. and Number One Girl. Produced in collaboration with Bruno Mars, APT. made waves in the global music industry. The track got 25.24 million views on YouTube within the first 24 hours and 21.1 million streams in a week on YouTube Music Korea, and broke BTS member Jimin’s record of 14.59 million streams on Spotify in a single day, the highest ever for a K-pop artist.
All the members of Blackpink — Lisa, Jennie, Rosé and Jisoo — last appeared together in the music video of their 2022 single Shut Down, which went on to top the Billboard Global 200.
