Rohit Saraf and Prajakta Kohli have wrapped up shooting for the third season of their Netflix series Mismatched, the former announced on Instagram on Monday.
“This is us. Until next time.. #MismatchedS03 ♥️Season Wrap,” the 27-year-old actor wrote alongside a set of pictures with his co-star Prajakta.
Helmed by Akarsh Khurana and Nipun Dharmadhikar, the coming-of-age romantic drama is based on Sandhya Menon’s 2017 novel When Dimple Met Rishi. Written by Gazal Dhaliwal, the first season of the series follows the story of Rishi Singh Shekhawat (Rohit Saraf), who falls in love with a tech wizard Dimple Ahuja (Prajakta Kohli). The season ended with Dimple blaming her boyfriend Rishi for leaking information about the mobile app she was working on. As the couple break up, Dimple kisses her project partner Harsh (Vihaan Samat) on an impulse.
In the second season, Dimple (Prajakta) is guilty about the kiss and wants to clear things up with Rishi (Rohit). When they meet, Rishi spills coffee on Dimple just as she had when they first met in Season 1. Both seek solace in other people before realising they are in love with each other.
Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf’s crackling chemistry in Mismatched Season 3 teaser, dropped by the makers earlier this year, is palpable. The video delves deep into the nuances of lost love and recovered friendships.
Apart from Rohit Saraf and Prajakta Kohli, the upcoming season also stars Ranvijay Singh, Vidya Malvade, Vihaan Samat, Devyani Shorey, Priya Banerjee, Taaruk Raina, Muskkaan Jaferi, Akarsh Khurana and Ahsaas Channa in important roles.
The Sky is Pink actor also shared behind-the-scenes pictures and videos on his Instagram story from the wrap party of Mismatched Season 3 following completion of the shoot.
Produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies, the first season of the series premiered on Netflix on November 20, 2020 followed by Season 2 on October 14, 2022. The makers are yet to announce the release date for the third season.
Rohit Saraf will be next seen in the romantic comedy Ishq Vishk: Rebound, a sequel to Shahid Kapoor’s 2003 film Ishq Vishk, slated to release on June 28.
