Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh set the dance floor on fire in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’s What Jhumka music video, dropped by Saregama Music on Wednesday, as they groove to a new spin to the tune of the iconic Asha Bhosle number Jhumka Gira Re.

Composer Pritam has given a contemporary twist to the Madan Mohan classic, blending it with electronic sounds and modern lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The song has been sung by Arijit Singh and Jonita Gandhi,

Ranveer’s Rocky trying his best to impress Alia’s sari-clad Rani in the two-minute-32-second-long video, which showcases a vibrant set filled with hundreds of background dancers. The lead duo’s sizzling dance moves, choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, make the whole experience a fun ride.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director Karan Johar shared the newly released track on Instagram on Wednesday. “The biggest (jhumka) drop of the season - What Jhumka out now. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, in cinemas on 28th July,” he wrote.

What Jhumka is the second song from the upcoming romantic drama film to drop after Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal’s Tum Kya Mile, which was released a few weeks ago.

Apart from directing Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Karan has also produced the film under the banner of his Dharma Production. Apart from Ranveer and Alia, the film also features Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, Tota Roy Choudhury, Namit Das, Churni Ganguly, Aamir Bashir, Kshitee Jog and Anjali Anand.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is slated to release in theatres on July 28.
