The makers of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani on Wednesday released a Saregama Carvaan Medley clip featuring two hitherto unreleased music videos from the romantic drama.
The five-minute-29-second-long video features the music videos of two never-seen remakes of Bollywood romantic hits Hum Tum Ek Kamre Mein from Raj Kapoor's 1973 film Bobby and Aao Na Gale Lagao Na from the 1972 romantic comedy Mere Jeevan Saathi.
Remade by Pritam, the retro numbers were sung by Jonita Gandhi and Shashwat Singh in the Karan Johar directorial.
In the first song, which was originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Shailendra Singh, Ranveer’s Rocky and Alia’s Rani engage in a romantic moment in a room while their grandparents, played by Dharmendra and Shabana, are sharing a breakfast together.
The next song from the extended cut version of the film’s medley — Aao Na Gale Lagao Na — was originally sung by Asha Bhosle. The new music video shows Shabana and Dharmendra undergoing a romantic spa treatment and their grandchildren romantically teasing each other by lip-syncing to the lyrics.
Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which released on July 28, revolves around the love story between flamboyant Punjabi guy Rocky and Bengali journalist Rani. The film also features Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly and Jaya Bachchan.
