Director Karan Johar has shared a compilation of behind-the-scenes clips of Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and Jaya Bachchan breaking character and being quirky on the sets of Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
The blooper reel, shared by Karan on Instagram, shows the actors forgetting their dialogues while filming their scenes and bursting into laughter. It also includes a clip of Karan performing the Disco Deewane hook step from his 2019 film Student of the Year, and smartly changing the lyrics to “Dharma Deewane”.
The video offers glimpses of Alia and Ranveer dancing amidst the snow-capped mountains of Kashmir. It shows Ranveer laughing hysterically while filming a scene in which he had to sport a black bra.
The highlight of the reel, however, is Jaya Bachchan breaking her character and making a goofy face after she freezes in the middle of delivering her dialogue. “Why do I get stuck here?” she asks. Many fans commented that the 75-year-old actress was the “best part” about the film.
Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has garnered positive reviews for its attempt at breaking down stereotypical gender-roles. Released on July 28, the film has collected Rs 154 crore gross worldwide so far.
