Rocket Boys 2
Sony Liv on Sunday released the official teaser for the second season of its biographical drama series Rocket Boys. Written and directed by Abhay Pannu, the series stars Jim Sarbh, Ishwak Singh, Arjun Radhakrishnan and Regina Cassandra in lead roles.
The one-minute-16-second-long trailer shows India’s struggle to become a nuclear nation under the leadership of former prime minister Indira Gandhi. It showcases Jim Sarbh’s Dr Homi Bhabha, Ishwak Singh’s Vikram Sarabhai and Arjun Radhakrishnan’s Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam leading India’s first nuclear test — Operation Smiling Buddha — which took place on May 18, 1974.
Rocket Boys 2 will arrive on Sony Liv in March.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
Lucas films on Monday dropped a special teaser of the fifth instalment of the Indiana Jones film series titled Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Directed by James Mangold, who co-wrote the script with Jez Butterworth and John Henry Butterworth, the film stars Harrison Ford in the lead role alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Olivier Richters, Ethann Isidore and Mads Mikkelsen.
In the 30-second-long teaser, we see our beloved archaeologist meeting with an old foe, who is a Nazi on a train. We are then introduced to his old friend Sallah, followed by a chase sequence and finally an aerial action sequence. The clip ends with Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s sidekick and Indi jumping off a plane.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will hit the theatres on June 30.
Hunger
Netflix Asia on Monday dropped the official teaser of its upcoming Thai psychological drama film Hunger. Directed by Sitisiri Mongkolsiri and written by Kongdej Jaturanrasmee, the film stars Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying, Nopachai Jayanama and Gunn Svasti in lead roles.
The one-minute-12-second-long trailer shows the gruelling and toxic work life inside the kitchen. It exposes the dark side of the culinary world and takes you deep down to explore human hunger.
Hunger will be streaming on Netflix from April 6.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
Paramount Pictures on Monday unveiled a special teaser for its upcoming film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. It is the seventh instalment in the Transformers film series and a stand-alone sequel to 2018’s Bumblebee. The film is directed by Steven Caple Jr and stars Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, Luna Lauren Vélez and Tobe Nwigwe along with a voice cast of Peter Cullen and Ron Perlman.
In the 30-second-long teaser, we see the debut of Porsche in the Transformers franchise with the Porsche 911Carrera RS 3.8. Set in 1994, the film follows a pair of human archaeologists from Brooklyn who become tangled in an ancient conflict between three races of Transformers: the Maximals, the Predacons, and the Terrorcons.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will arrive in cinemas on June 9.
