Former lovers Radhe (Ritwik Bhowmik) and Tamanna (Shreya Chaudhry) find themselves competing against each other in The Euro Band Championship in Prime Video’s Bandish Bandits Season 2 trailer, dropped on Monday.

The three-minute-one-second-long video begins with the news of Radhe’s grandfather, music king Pandit Radhemohan Rathod (Naseeruddin Shah), passing away. Following his death, a book titled Masked Man exposes the hidden truths and untold stories behind Pandit Ji’s relentless efforts to secure his position as the undisputed king of classical music.

Trying to preserve the legacy of his grandfather, Radhe and his family decide to take part in the IBC music competition.

On the other hand, Tamanna, a YouTube pop sensation, determined to become India’s first global pop star, leaves behind her stardom and joins an institution to explore music as a student. There, she is selected to represent her college at the prestigious IBC, marking a significant step in her musical journey.

In the subsequent scenes, Radhe and Tamanna revisit the past, recalling how they hurt each other. The trailer concludes with the duo engaging in a showdown.

Actor Vicky Kaushal also shared the trailer on his Instagram. “Not because they are friends like family but genuinely as a lover of Season1… I’m so excited for the 2nd Season of #BandishBandits to drop. Love the Trailer,” reads the caption to his post.

Directed by Anand Tiwari and co-created by Amritpal Singh Bhandari, the series will see the return of Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni, Rajesh Tailang and Kunaal Roy Kapur. They will be joined by Divya Dutta, Rohan Gurbaxani, Yashaswini Dayama, Aaliyah Qureshi and Saurabh Nayyar.

The show broke new ground as the first Indian musical series, gaining attention for its deep dive into Indian classical music and unique portrayal of the art form.

The album for Season 2 features songs sung by Nikhita Gandhi, Ana Rehman, Shubham Shirule and other musicians. It has a total of 17 songs, currently streaming on music platforms such as Spotify, Gaana and YouTube Music.

Produced by Leo Media Collective Private Limited, Bandish Bandits Season 2 will premiere on Prime Video on December 13.
