A sudden spell of rain accompanied with a nor’wester on Monday brought relief to Kolkatans from the scorching heat of the last few days, inspiring Tollywood celebrities like Rituparna Sengupta and Arindam Sil to post different moods of the rain-soaked city on Instagram.

While many celebrities enjoyed the rains, Rituparna Sengupta had to wade through a waterlogged street in front of the studio on her way back from shooting.

Arindam Sil, who was indoors during the rain, shared a video of a rain-kissed landscape from his highrise apartment. Well-lit residential towers in the vicinity offered a contrast to the darkness that was often pierced by lightning.

Ambarish Bhattacharya couldn’t resist recording a video of a rain-drenched north Kolkata neighbourhood from his car. The reflection of lightning flashes on the small puddles between the tram lines added to the visuals.
