Actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty and his wife Pragati recently met with Mohanlal, the Kantara star mentioned on his Instagram handle on Thursday, sharing pictures of their meet-up with the Malayalam actor.

“An honour and a pleasure to meet the legendary @mohanlal sir,” the Kannada actor-filmmaker wrote alongside the photos.

Mohanlal sported a bottle-green shirt and a white mundu in the pictures posted by Rishab, who chose a white shirt and paired it with a white mundu. Pragathi wore a long pink kurta suit.

At present, Rishab is gearing up for his upcoming film Kantara: Chapter 1, the film prequel to his 2022 blockbuster Kantara. Upon its release on September 30, Kantara, produced by Hombale Films, became a box-office sensation and a huge hit globally after its wide release in Hindi. Kantara, which means “mythical forest”, meshes folklore and fantasy, weaving a narrative that is rooted in Kannada culture and deals with the universal man vs nature conflict.

Kantara: Chapter 1, also starring Saptami Gowda and Kishore, is eagerly awaited by moviegoers. Its first-look teaser dropped in November last year, showing Rishab in a blood-soaked avatar.

Mohanlal is currently getting ready for his next two projects. One of them is a film with a tentative name L360, directed by Tharun Moorthy of Operation Java fame. The Malayalam star is also preparing for his directorial debut Barroz, where he will play the lead role as well. The film is scheduled to release in May 2024.
