National Award-winning actor Riddhi Sen will be in Anurag Kashyap's untitled upcoming film, shows the lineup shared by the Kennedy director on social media on Tuesday.
Joining Riddhi in Anurag’s upcoming project are Bobby Deol, Sanya Malhotra, Saba Azad, Joju George, Sapna Pabbi, Jeetendra Joshi, Ankush Gedambe, Nagesh Bhonsle, Jamini Pathak and Ghamshyam Garg.
Riddhi made his big screen debut in 2012 with Sujoy Ghosh’s Kahaani. However, his first big break as the lead came in 2015 with Anindya Chattopadhyay’s Open Tee Bioscope.
In 2018, Riddhi became the youngest recipient of the National Award for Best Actor for Kaushik Ganguly’s Nagarkirtan. He had previously starred alongside Kajol in Helicopter Eela (2018), his only Hindi film after Kahaani.
Among the rest of the cast, Sanya Malhotra had previously collaborated with Bobby Deol in Love Hostel (2019). Anurag’s film also marks Malayalam actor Joju George’s debut in Bollywood.
Anurag Kashyap’s last movie Kennedy, featuring Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone in the lead roles, had been screened at the 2023 Jio MAMI Film Festival and Kolkata International Film Festival 2023. The police noir film also received a seven-minute standing ovation at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it was screened under the Midnight Screening section.
The filmmaker’s last directorial venture to have a theatrical release was Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat (2023) starring Alaya F and Karan Mehta in the lead roles.
