Reshmi Mitra has wrapped up the shoot of the film Borobabu, a biopic on Shishir Kumar Bhaduri. Neel Sujan Mukherjee plays Shishir Kumar Bhaduri. The film also stars Payel Sarkar, Sudipta Chakraborty, Supratim Roy, Bhaswar Chatterjee and Biswanath Basu. Director Reshmi Mitra presents the artistic life, tussles, love, expressions, and his search for the truth. Supratim Roy plays a friend to Shishir Kumar. Shishir Kumar was a professor of English who left college in order to bring in a new wave in theatre. “While this biopic does not accurately portray historical events, it does place them in the context of Shishir Kumar Bhadhuri’s illustrious career and life. The main focus of the movie is the struggle of the actor’s personal life brought on by the relationship between Prabha Debi and Kankabati, who both performed in Shishir Kumar’s theatre and added emotion to the actor’s life,” said Reshmi.
