If you are upset that all HBO content has been removed from Disney+ Hotstar, here’s a reason to cheer. A slew of brand-new films and shows are slated to drop on the streamer this month, from coming-of-age drama and comedy to fantasy thriller. Here’s a ready reckoner on what you can binge-watch later in April.
The Crossover
Based on the bestselling novel in verse of the same name by Kwame Alexander, The Crossover is a coming-of-age story of two brothers Josh (Jalyn Hall) and Jordan Bell (Amir O’Neil), who have earned a name for themselves as basketball players. The adult version of Josh narrates their growing-up journey through lyrical poetry. Their father, who’s trying to adjust to his life after retiring from basketball, and their mother, who’s pursuing her lifelong dreams, are an integral part of this sports drama.

Tiny Beautiful Things
A mini-series based on Cheryl Strayed’s bestselling book of the same name, Tiny Beautiful Things follows the story of Clare (Kathryn Hahn), a writer whose career seems to be over. Clare is forced to take up a job as an advice columnist during a turbulent phase in her life, which is ironic because she is handing out advice to others when her own life is falling apart. Her column Dear Sugar becomes popular and her new job helps Clare take a nostalgic trip back to her childhood and put her life in order.

Romancham
Written and directed by Jithu Madhavan, Romancham is a Malayalam horror comedy movie starring Soubin Shahir, Arjun Ashokan, Sajin Gopu, Siju Sunny and Abin Bino. Based on true incidents, Romancham revolves around seven bachelors who use an Ouija board to communicate with spirits. All hell breaks loose when a ghost named Anamika establishes contact with the boys. The film released in theatres on February 3.

Rennervations
Rennervations is a four-part documentary series featuring popular Marvel star Jeremy Renner. In the documentary, Renner will be reimagining decommissioned government vehicles with the help of a team of professional builders in order to improve the lives of children across the world. Bollywood star Anil Kapoor will be seen alongside Renner in this documentary, which will be available for Indian audiences on a subscription video-on-demand basis.

The Mandalorian Season 3
The third season of The Mandalorian premiered on Disney+ Hotstar in March; the final two episodes will drop on April 12 and 19, respectively. Season 3 of the highly-acclaimed series features Pedro Pascal in the titular role who is travelling to Mandalore to undo the mistakes of his past. His adopted son Grogu (voiced by David Acord) and fellow Mandalorian Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) have accompanied him on this journey.

Single Drunk Female Season 2
A public meltdown at a New York media company forces alcoholic Samantha Fink (Sofia Black-D'Elia) to move back to her home in Boston. But staying sober and living with her bossy mother Samantha (Rebecca Henderson) is not as easy as it sounds. Samantha is also dogged by the ghosts of her past but uses the opportunity to be on a path of self-discovery and chart out a new course for her life.

Peter Pan & Wendy
Directed by David Lowery, Peter Pan & Wendy is a live-action adaptation of Walt Disney’s 1953 animated film Peter Pan. Ever Andersonas plays Wendy Darling, an adventurous young girl who meets Peter Pan (Alexander Molony), a boy who refuses to grow up. They set off on an adventurous trip to the magical Neverland where they battle Peter’s archrival Captain Hook (Jude Law), a pirate with a hook for a hand.
