Rekha, Kriti Sanon, Kajol, Karan Johar and Vijay Varma were among the Bollywood celebrities who recently attended the opening ceremony of Manish Malhotra's flagship store at Jio World Plaza in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex. Here’s a look at some moments from the star-studded event.
Couturier Manish Malhotra posed for the lens with Nita Ambani, Rekha and Shilpa Shetty. Nita stunned in an embroidered neon green sari, while Rekha turned heads in a radiant golden sari. Shilpa dazzled in a chic white maxi dress.
Do Patti stars Kajol and Kriti Sanon also attended the event. While Kajol donned a printed black pantsuit, Kriti shined in a sequined red sari, seemingly inspired by Kareena Kapoor’s Pooh from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) and Sushmita Sen’s Chandni from Main Hoon Na (2004).
Dangal actress Fatima Sana Shaikh rocked a navy-blue crop top and black flared trousers. She is set to share screen space with Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma and Sharib Hashmi in Manish’s third production venture Ul Jalool Ishq, backed by his home banner STAGE5 Production.
Flanked by Shanaya Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, Manish looked dapper in a black suit. Childhood friends Shanaya and Khushi twinned in white, presenting a striking contrast to Manish’s ensemble.
Filmmaker-producer Karan Johar attended the event in a black double-breasted blazer paired with grey trousers. Karan is currently awaiting the release of Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s Jigra, co-produced by Dharma Productions.
Vijay Varma and Munjya star Abhay Verma grabbed eyeballs with their funky outfits. While Abhay wore a white blazer over a white vest, Vijay sported a pink-and-black chequered shirt. Both actors accessorised their looks with silver chains. Vijay also opted for quirky shades to complement his ensemble.
Gauri Khan’s custom-made Manish Malhotra emblem black suit made for a winning look. She paired it with a golden clutch and minimal accessories.
Murder Mubarak actress Tisca Chopra and Salman Khan’s rumoured girlfriend, Romanian singer-actress Iulia V Vantur, also attended the store’s opening.
