Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon teamed up with Norwegian hip-hop group Quick Style to recreate her iconic song Tip Tip Barsa Paani for a reel that has gone viral on Instagram with nearly five lakh likes in less than 20 hours since it dropped on Friday.
Sharing the video on Instagram, Quick Style wrote, “Different when you do it with the originals.”
In the short video, Raveena looks stunning in blue jeans and a black shirt. She introduces some new steps to the catchy song with Quick Style dancers grooving alongside her.
Quick Style is on a spree of recreating some of Bollywood’s most-iconic dance numbers with the “OG” actors. Raveena is the latest star on their list.
The Instagram-famous Scandinavian dance crew is currently on an India tour during which they are exploring several cities of the country and meeting celebrities. So far, the group has met cricketer Virat Kohli and actors Suniel Shetty and Anil Kapoor.
Raveena danced alongside Akshay Kumar in the original Tip Tip Barsa Paani song from the 1994 film Mohra. Sung by Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan with music by Viju Shah, the song became one of the most popular tracks of Bollywood in the ’90s.
The song was recreated in 2021 for the film Sooryavanshi. This time it was picturised on Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar.
Formed in 2006 by two Norwegian-Pakistani dancers Suleman Malik and Bilal Malik along with their Norwegian-Thai childhood friend Nasir Sirikhan, Quick Style became popular by appearing in the American dance show, NBC’s World of Dance, in 2017. It also appeared in America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. Last year, the group went viral with their recreation of Kala Chashma from the 2016 film Baar Baar Dekho.
