Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Inspector Deepak Negi launches a probe to catch a murderer in the peaceful yet strange village of Rautu ki Beli, leading to a series of interesting developments in the trailer of Anand Surapur’s upcoming crime thriller Rautu Ka Raaz, dropped by streaming platform ZEE5 on Thursday.

The two-minute-42-second-long trailer opens with two villagers discussing a recent murder at the nearby Sevadhaam school.

The story unfolds in the peculiar village of Rautu ki Beli, a small hill station in Missouri, where the villagers believe no crime has taken place in the last 15 years.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui arrives with his team at the crime scene to investigate the sudden death of a woman. The village follows a slow and lazy daily routine, and the investigation initially proceeds at a relaxed pace. However, the inquest takes a serious turn when the postmortem report reveals that the woman had died under suspicious circumstances. Combining humour and suspense, the trailer promises a perfect whodunit that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

The trailer also features Atul Tiwari, Narayani Shastri and Rajesh Kumar in supporting roles.

Produced by Zee Studios, Phat Phish Records, Umesh Kr Bansal, Anand Surapur and Chintu Srivastava, Rautu Ka Raaz is slated to drop on ZEE5 on June 28.

Nawazuddin was last seen in the Telugu film Saindhav. He starred last year in ZEE5’s Haddi alongside Anurag Kashyap.
