Ajay Devgn-starrer Azaad, which is set to mark the acting debut of his nephew Aaman Devgan and Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani, will hit theatres next year, he announced on Wednesday.

“Kahaani yaari ki. Kahaani wafadaari ki. Kahaani #Azaad ki! #AzaadTeaser is premiering exclusively in cinemas this Diwali. A big screen adventure coming in Cinemas January 2025,” the 55-year-old actor wrote alongside a poster of the film.

The poster features a dramatic scene of a man saddling a horse. Surrounding them is a cheering crowd.

Netizens flooded the comments section with their excitement over the film. “Cannot wait,” one of them wrote. “Wow wow wow,” another fan commented.

While the teaser will be released during Diwali, the film will hit theatres in January 2025. Directed by Kedarnath director Abhishek Kapoor, Azaad is produced by Ronnie Screwala and Pragya Kapoor. It is co-produced by Abhishek Nayyar and Abhishek Kapoor.

On Tuesday, Rasha took to her Instagram stories and shared a picture with Aaman. The debutante actress was all smiles in a white anarkali set, while Aaman was nattily dressed in a blue jacket and trousers.

Ajay is currently awaiting the release of Singham Again, a sequel to the 2014 film Singham Returns. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Jacky Shroff. The upcoming Rohit Shetty-directed actioner is slated to hit screens on November 1.
