Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal crosses the Rs 300-crore mark in India in six days

The Sandeep Reddy Vanga-helmed actioner has minted Rs 312.96 crore domestically so far

Ranbir Kapoor's Animal has crossed the Rs 300-crore mark at the domestic box office in just six days since its release with a collection of Rs 30 crore in India on Wednesday, according to box office data tracking website Sacnilk.

The total six-day collection of the film now stands at Rs 312.96 crore nett in India. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial — also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor — has so far minted Rs 481 crore gross worldwide.

Animal is the fourth Hindi film in 2023 to cross the Rs 300-crore milestone domestically. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan achieved the feat in five and six days, respectively, while Sunny Deol-starrer Gadar 2 hit the mark in eight days.

The actioner made a thunderous debut on December 1, raking in Rs 63.8 crore nett in India. The film went on to mint Rs 130 crore nett over the weekend.

Animal passed the Monday test by earning Rs 43.96 crore nett on the fifth day, followed by Rs 37.47 crore nett on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Animal maintained a stronghold with 34.88 percent Hindi occupancy, 25.67 percent Telugu occupancy, and 18.95 percent Tamil occupancy, as per Sacnilk.

To keep the momentum going for the film, T-series unveiled the full track of Bobby Deol's entry song, Jamal Kudu, on Wednesday. The music label took to Instagram to share the exciting news, stating, "Let the celebrations begin. Abrar's Entry Jamal Kudu song out now. Dance away." The song is reported to be a remake of the Iranian hit, Jamaal Jamaaloo.
