Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna’s Animal, previously slated to release on August 11, will arrive in cinemas on December 1, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga announced on Monday.
Sharing a video message on Twitter to announce the new release date of the film, Venga cited the film’s post-production work and the dubbing for the songs in five different languages — Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam — as the main reason for the delay. “#1stDecemberANIMALrelease,” he wrote alongside the video.
The filmmaker, known for helming Telugu-language film Arjun Reddy and its Hindi remake Kabir Singh, also promised that the movie’s revised release date would allow his team to come up with the best-quality cinematic grandeur with richer content.
In his video message, Venga shared his passion for Animal and his eagerness to present an enhanced version of the film. He said the additional time would allow the team to refine and fine-tune the content, ensuring that every aspect of the film meets the highest standards of excellence.
Apart from Ranbir and Rashmika, Animal also features an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri. The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar for T-Series, Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios and Pranay Reddy Vanga for Bhadrakali Pictures.
