Yash Raj Films’ Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol-starrer romantic drama Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was the “defining” film for actor Ranbir Kapoor, who believes that it influenced the way he dressed and the way he spoke to girls.
“DDLJ has been the defining film of our generation. I can’t even tell you that feeling is still alive inside me. It Influenced the way I dressed. It influenced the way I spoke to a girl. It influenced how I was with my parents… everything,” Ranbir Kapoor said in a video dropped by Netflix ahead of the premiere of its docu-series The Romantics. Catch the video here:
A tribute to the legacy of Yash Chopra, the film studio YRF and its cultural impact on the country over the past 50 years, the series is set to stream from February 14. The short video, shared by Netflix on Saturday, also shows Ayushmann Khurrana, Kajol and Shah Rukh talk about the film.
“I wanted to go inside the film. I wanted to be one of the characters,” Ayushmann says in the video.
