Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (TJMM) has entered the Rs 200-crore club 21 days after the Luv Ranjan-directed romantic comedy hit the theatres.
Luv Films, the producers of the film, took to Twitter to share the news. “#TuJhoothiMainMakkaar crosses a love worth more than 200 Crore! Thank you for your immense support," the tweet reads.
TJMM has collected a whopping Rs 201 crore gross worldwide and emerged as the highest-grossing film directed by Luv Ranjan. The record was previously held by the 2018 blockbuster Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety with Rs 148 crore gross.
Also starring Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor and Anubhav Singh Bassi in key roles, TJMM marked the first on-screen pairing of Ranbir and Shraddha. The film raked in Rs 15.73 crore nett at the domestic box office on its opening day, the second-highest opening collection for a Hindi film in 2023. The net collection of the romcom at the domestic box office now stands at Rs 161 crore.
