Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (TJMM) registered a nett collection of Rs 10 crore in the domestic box office on Thursday, taking its total collection to Rs 25.73 crore nett in two days since its release, according to Box Office India.
With a nett collection of Rs 15.73 crore on day one, the Luv Ranjan directorial recorded the second-best opening for a Hindi film in 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan.
Ranbir and Shraddha have shared screen space for the first time in TJMM. The film revolves around Mikki (Ranbir) and Tinni (Shraddha) who meet during a bachelor’s trip of their respective friends and fall in love. Things get complicated when Tinni decides to break up with Mikki.
Anubhav Singh Bassi, Monica Chaudhary, Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor play key roles in this romcom. Pritam has composed the music for this film while the lyrics have been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
